72 years of championing the cause of workers is what is being celebrated by the Civil Service Association (CSA), in the month of May. The organization, which was established in 1951, has been a major proponent of the fight for the rights of employees on the island for over seven decades.
To celebrate the achievements of the institution, a week of activities is slated to take place from May 17th-26th. Among the carded events are two virtual events dubbed Let’s Talk CSA, a church service and an After Work Lime.
Much of the agenda of the week’s activities involves engaging civil servants in social dialogue, to address possible issues facing workers. The general public are invited to participate in these events as the information is intended for their benefit. It is the goal of the union to use the events to reflect on the past, while charting a vision for the future.
