The Saint Lucian media fraternity is devastated at the passing of long-time journalist, Winston Springer Sr. on Tuesday night. The veteran newscaster had been a mainstay in the media for decades.
A former Radio St. Lucia General Manager, Springer served on both radio and television with distinction. St. Lucians can recall Springer’s eloquent commentary on House proceedings during debates and his almost poetic breakdown of national events. Many of his colleagues saw him as a muse for what it meant to be a professional in the field.
