The Department of Education informs all educators that educational instruction will be suspended and schools will remain closed on Thursday, June 22, 2023. This decision was taken in light of the impending passage of Tropical Storm Bret. The Department of Education trusts that all necessary pre-disaster activities would have taken place, including plans for possible preoccupation of school compounds for emergency shelter. We advise the public to continue monitoring the weather bulletins and forecasts from the Saint Lucia Meteorological Service and remain safe. The Department of Education regrets any inconvenience caused due the temporary closure of school.
