Police are investigating two separate incidents of violence over the weekend in Castries, Saint Lucia. On Saturday, February 24, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m., officers responded to a stabbing in Ciceron, where a 17-year-old male victim, identified as Mckay Jessie Jaidy Flemius of Goodlands, Castries, was fatally injured. One male suspect is currently in custody.
On Sunday, February 25, around 2:50 a.m., CID received a report of a shooting in Barre Denis. The victim, 28-year-old Yannick Charles, was taken to the Owen King European Union Hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. One male suspect is detained for questioning. Authorities have urged anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigations Department or the crime hotline at 555.
