St. Lucia crowned a new National Carnival Queen on the evening of Sunday, July 2nd. Shanice Butcher, who was sponsored by Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate emerged victorious on the night. Butcher, who overcame personal struggles in her own life utilized the pain of her past in her artistic display during the talent segment.
On a post on her social media pages, the newly crowned queen echoed the words of Dr. Steve Maraboli stating, “Life does not get easier or more forgiving, we go through it with grace, get stronger and become resilient”
The order of winners of the pageant were as follows:
• 3rd Runner Up – Miss Pierre Marcel – Leana Lewis
• 2nd Runner Up – Miss BOSL Digital – Miss Bernell St Rose
• 1st Runner Up – Miss FICS – Jernais Perineau
• 2023 National Carnival Queen – Miss Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate, Shanice Butcher
