The 2023 MPR Promotions Football Babonneau Youth Synergy Invitational came to a close on Saturday June 24th. At a grand finale held at the Fond Assau Playing Field, New Generation F.C, and BAYS F.C did battle to determine who would reign as champions. At the end of regulation, the teams were level at 3 goals apiece. New Generation got goal contributions from Rickelme Lionel, Jeremie Abraham and Baggio Edward. Nick Longville, netted a brace for BAYS, with Mc Zenious Nicholas being the other scorer.The final decision on the match was made via penalty shootout. BAYS FC prevailed 5 – 4 and were crowned champions.Following the game, the following awards were given out:
B.A.Y.S F.C – Champion
New Generation F.C – 2nd place
C.T. Foundation – 3rd place
Best Coach – Shervan Benjamin – B.A.Y.S M.V.P – Duayne Jn. Baptiste – B.A.Y.S
Best Young Player – Baggio Edward New Generations
Most Goals – Rickelme Lionel – New Generations and Nick Longville – B.A.Y.S player
Best Defender – Karim Mondesir – B.A.Y.S
Best Goal Keeper – Jurell Mathurin – B.A.Y.S
Most Discipline Team – C.T Foundation
