St. Lucian sprinter, Julien Alfred, has recorded yet another dominant performance at the collegiate level. The phenom showcased her unequaled prowess, as she swept the events at the recently concluded NCAA Big 12 Championships over the weekend. Alfred defended her titles in the 100m and 200m races while igniting a record-breaking 4x100m relay for the University of Texas.
In the 100m dash, Ms. Alfred clocked at season-best time of 10.84, leaving her opponents trailing in her wake. The exceptional athlete continued her dominance in the 200m event, as she crossed the finish line in an astonishing time of 22.28, setting a new BIG 12 record. Even after torching the competition, Alfred was still not done making history. The Ciceron native then proceeded to dominate the 4x100m rally, putting a bow on what had been a complete showcase of her abilities.
