St. Lucians will be able to travel to Canada without the prerequisite of a visa. The island is part of a group of 12 other countries who will be able to travel to the North American country without the additional document. The announcement was made by Sean Fraser, Canadian Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, today, June 6.
This new allowance, however, only applies to travelers who have either held a Canadian visa in the last 10 years or who currently hold a valid United States non-immigrant visa.
Its is the hope of observers that this will signal the start of new opportunities for citizens.
