Three officers from the Royal St. Lucia Police Force have been recognized for their hard work and dedication by the Association of the Caribbean Commissioners Police (ACCP) and the Algamated Security Services Limited (ASSL). The awards ceremony took place in Trinidad on Monday. The awards ceremony recognized nine outstanding Police Officers from ACCP member countries who have made a notable impact on crime fighting in the region.
The St. Lucian contingent gave an excellent account of themselves at the program. Awards won by St. Lucians were as follows:
• Inspector Shervon Matthieu, Inspector in Charge of the Criminal Investigations Department, Castries won the Top Caribbean Crime Fighter award.
• Corporal Kerlin St.Jean who is in charge of the Community Relations Branch of the Vieux Fort Police Station was awarded second runner up in the Top Caribbean Community Policing Officer category.
• Assistant Supintendant Annanthar Wilson who is the Officer in charge of the Criminal Investigations Department, Castries was awarded First Runner-up in the Top Caribbean Career Move category.
Police Commissioner, Mrs. Crusita Descartes-Peluis congratulated the trio on their achievement and encouraged them to continue making the RSLPF and their country proud.
